Posted Monday, December 12, 2016 by Shelly Nye
Dear Early Childhood Educators and Professionals,
We are requesting your participation in a survey related to Birth through 3rd Grade efforts in Nevada. The State of Nevada Department of Education/Office of Early Learning and Development has contracted with Turning Point, Inc. and its partners—the National P-3 Center at the University of Washington; FirstSchool at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and the Center for Program Evaluation at the University of Nevada, Reno—to provide technical support for the Nevada READY! Birth-Third Grade (B-3) project. This project will support the development of practices and systems for using data to promote effective B–3 learning communities, B-3 leadership, connections between policy and practice, and between leaders, educators, and providers across the B-3 continuum. A participatory approach will be used to plan, implement and evaluate the Nevada B-3 Program throughout three Projects. Project I-Planning will focus on integration of input from educational professionals across Nevada and the development of a B-3 Statewide Committee that will develop a Statewide B-3 plan to be implemented during projects II and II.
The survey can be found online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/nvb3dec16 . Please complete the survey by Wednesday, December 21st. Those who complete the survey by that deadline will have a chance to win one of 10 Amazon $25 gift cards to support the purchase of supplies, books or other items for the classroom. We appreciate your time in helping us understand B-3 efforts in Nevada!
