NAEYC Revised Position Statement on Technology

In Spring 2010 the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children’s Media (Fred Rogers Center) began revising the NAEYC 1996 position statement, Technology and Young Children—Ages 3 to 8. The purpose of this position statement is to provide guide the selection, use, integration, and evaluation of technology tools and screen media in early childhood settings serving children birth through age eight.
NAEYC invites you to review the latest draft of the position statement and provide feedback. This is the final opportunity to review and comment. Their goal is to publish the revised position statement in Fall 2011. Please send your comments on Technology in Early Childhood Programs Serving Children from Birth through Age 8 by May 31, 2011, to TechandYC@naeyc.org.
