Rare Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease in Washoe County

A rare strain of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) has made its way to the Truckee Meadows. According to local public health officials, 30 cases of HFMD, identified as Coxsackievirus A6, have been identified here; cases have appeared in only three other places in the United States – Alabama (38), California (seven), and Connecticut (one).  Read more about it!

New Childhood Obesity Training Requirement

Changes for Bureau of Services for Child Care
