Getting to Know the Registry 

In April of 2009, participation with the Registry was adopted into State Child Care regulations R112-06 and R001-09. This new regulation requires that all caregivers working in licensed child care settings apply for Career Ladder placement over the course of 3 years, but by December 31, 2012 at the latest. 

In an effort to support the transition to mandatory participation with the Registry, connect with ECE professionals more purposefully on a statewide basis, and to provide on-site and community-based technical assistance regarding Career Ladder placement, the Registry has developed a community outreach/presentation schedule that includes dates throughout the year in locations across the state. 

2012 presentations are ideal for Directors of child care programs who want to learn more about the benefits of Registry membership and how to support staff through the application process to ensure compliance with Child Care Licensing by the end of the year! Registry staff will be available during presentations to answer questions, provide technical assistance regarding Career Ladder placement and share why participation with the Registry is important to the ECE industry in Nevada. Attending an Upcoming Presentation? 

Complete applications can be dropped off during outreach presentations. Please refer to the Career Ladder Placement Checklist to ensure that all necessary documentation is included.

Onsite Presentations Available 

Attention Center Directors! If are unable to attend one of the scheduled community outreach presentations, an onsite presentation can be requested. Onsite presentations typically occur during the day at a time that works best for you and your staff (lunch, nap time, etc.). A Registry Associate will come to your location to answer questions about the Registry and to support your staff in the application process.  A limited number of onsite presentations are available on a first come, first serve basis.

* Appointments for onsite presentations in Southern Nevada are available the day before Saturday presentations and the day of evening presentations.
