Tip of the Week: Planning Your Professional Development
Posted Monday, April 17, 2017 by Shelly Nye
Did you know that if you work in a licensed child care program, you are required to complete 24 hours of training each year? Avoid procrastinating! Try taking 2-3 hours of training each month. Taking training each month has many benefits: 1.) You will save money and time by selecting training that meets your needs both geographically and financially; you have more options when you have more time; 2.) You will be more focused on the training rather than feeling overwhelmed about getting training done at the last minute; and 3.) You will be gaining new skills and knowledge throughout the year which is good for the children in your classroom. Minimize stress and anxiety and take a proactive approach to your professional development! Have questions about initial and ongoing training requirements?
