We are dedicated to helping you get the most out of your Registry membership and strive to ensure that every interaction with our members, community partners and the ECE workforce as a whole is responsive, expedient, courteous, respectful and professional at all times. We make a promise to ensure that your phone calls and email messages are returned promptly, your questions get answered, and that your overall experience with our program is positive – anything less than that is unacceptable. Shelly Nye,
Program Director
Shelly has served as Program Director of The Nevada Registry since its inception in 2004, leading its growth from an initial concept to a statewide system required by Child Care Licensing regulations. With more than 30 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), she has worked in a variety of settings and remains actively engaged in statewide and national efforts to strengthen the profession. As a former Region 9 Representative and Secretary for the National Workforce Registry Alliance, Shelly collaborates with colleagues and partners to advance workforce development and professional recognition. She holds a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with an emphasis in Early Childhood, from the University of Nevada, Reno. Her professional passion is elevating the importance of early childhood and advancing greater recognition, value, and compensation for the ECEC workforce. Outside of work, Shelly enjoys photography, paddle boarding, baking sourdough bread, traveling, and spending time with family.

Joetta Forsty,
Registry Specialist
Joetta is a Registry Specialist with 26 years of experience in the Early Care and Education profession. Joetta began working at the Registry in 2011 and has supported the Vision, Mission and Values of the Registry in all aspects of her duties. As a long-term member of The Nevada Registry team, Joetta has a wealth of knowledge and historical perspective about the Registry’s current and past development and accomplishments. Joetta is a proud 20-year member of The Nevada Registry and encourages everyone to apply! When not at work she is an avid cyclist and enjoys spending time with family and pets.

Krystal Van Delden,
Registry Specialist
Krystal has been part of the Registry team since July 2015. She began her journey as a Program Assistant and gained the knowledge and worked her way up to now being a Registry Specialist. She has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology and has previously worked as a one-on-one instructor with children with special needs. Having two young children of her own, she knows the importance of Early Childhood and is dedicated to serving ECE educators and helping to raise awareness of the importance of the profession. Krystal specializes in document management/digital archiving, job board functionality and the online attendance tracking feature, and continues to grow to support the workforce in new ways. She is proud to be serving our members and is dedicated to providing the best support possible. In her free time, Krystal enjoys spending time with her family, days at the lake and food!
