The University of Cooperative Extension - Las Vegas (UNCE) is retiring their Caring 4 Kids modules that have been previously available throughout the state. The course information is being updated and moved to an interactive online format.
As of October 31, 2016, the following trainings will no longer be available or considered Registry-approved trainings:
- CARING 4 Kids - Food Safety in Child Care Settings
- CARING 4 Kids - Nevada Child Care: Getting Started in Your New Profession
- CARING 4 Kids - Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect
- CARING 4 Kids - Cognitive Development
Packets mailed-in before October 31, 2016 will be processed and a certificate will be issued. No further certificates will be issued after that date.
Note: Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect is already available online for 2 Registry-approved child care training hours, free of charge, through UNCE. Please visit the Training Calendar and select 'Child Abuse and Neglect' from the Initial Training Requirements drop down list AND 'Internet Courses' from the Online and Distance Learning Options dropdown list for more information and instructions for accessing the course.
