Over 3,700 applications have now been submitted for the Early Childhood Staff Stipend. Congratulations to everyone who has already applied. For those who have not yet applied, not to worry! Applications will be accepted through April of next year!
As a reminder, to be eligible, you must be an active member of The Nevada Registry AND working in an eligible program. If you are eligible, you will see a tab titled, ‘Early Childhood Staff Stipend Incentive Program’ under your membership profile (after clicking on the ‘Membership Account’ tab on your Registry dashboard).
For those who have not yet applied:
You may need to update your employment to be eligible.
To update your employment, log into your Online Portal account and click on the ‘Membership Account’ button on your Dashboard. Scroll down to the tab titled, ‘Current Employment’. Open this tab to find a link (highlighted in yellow) titled, ‘Click Here to Update Your Employment Information’ to initiate the update. If you are eligible for the stipend, you will be granted access to the stipend application within the (purple) tab titled, ‘Early Childhood Staff Stipend Incentive Program’ once your update has been processed. You will receive an email from The Nevada Registry when your update has been processed. Once processed, you can proceed with the stipend application process. NOTE: Submitting an update does not mean you have submitted your stipend application. You will receive an email confirmation from The Nevada Registry once your update(s) have been processed. You must then log back in to your Online Portal to complete/submit the stipend application. Employment Update Tutorial.
You may see the ‘Early Childhood Staff Stipend Incentive Program’ tab in your account, but cannot apply, yet.
There are two reasons you may see the stipend tab in your account but are not yet able to apply. Please know that neither of these are ‘errors’ – it just means that there is pending action by the Registry or action required by you.
- You are within 45 days of your next membership renewal with the Registry. If this is the case, you will see a (red) tab titled, ‘Renew Your Membership Today’ within your account. Click on this tab to initiate and complete the online membership renewal process. You will be granted access to the stipend application within the ‘Early Childhood Staff Stipend Incentive Program’ tab of your account once your renewal has been processed. The processing time for membership renewals is five to seven business days on average.
- You have already submitted a personal or employment update to The Nevada Registry. You will be granted access to the stipend application within the ‘Early Childhood Staff Stipend Incentive Program’ tab of your account once your update has been processed. The processing time for updates is one to two business days on average.
For those who have applied:
When you log into your Nevada Registry Online Portal to check on the status of your application, the status may say Waiting for Documents even if you have uploaded your documents. This is because the Leapfile website used to upload your stipend-related documents is not linked to The Nevada Registry Online Portal, and with 2,800 applications in the queue, it is taking time for NevAEYC staff to download your documents and update your status. After NevAEYC downloads your supporting documents, your application status will change to include a date in the Documents Received but Not Yet Reviewed field. If you do not see a change in your application status within two weeks from when you submitted your supporting documents, please contact the NevAEYC office at 775-327-0683.
