In 2022, The Children’s Cabinet and the Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services announced a partnership to develop a comprehensive, unifying framework to support the state’s ECE professionals and the families they serve. Stakeholders from across Nevada convened from November 2022 – June 2023 to help develop this framework. The framework outlines a comprehensive plan of action to increase public awareness, thereby mobilizing support for sustained investments in the ECE workforce in Nevada. In addressing the needs of the ECE workforce, four workgroups were identified to build the framework: Compensation & Financial Incentives, ECE Workforce Data, Professional Pathways, and Working Conditions & Supports.
