Tip of the Week: Ongoing Professional Development

The Nevada Registry frequently receives questions from members about whether or not trainings can be repeated year after year. Although the determination to accept repeated trainings is ultimately the decision of Child Care Licensing; from a professional development perspective, we encourage you not to repeat trainings. It will be a much better investment of your time and money to learn something new to apply in your classroom and will lead to an increased benefit to the children in your care. There are over a thousand trainings at any given time on the Registry's Training Calendar across all Core Knowledge Areas. Be intentional about your professional development, explore a new topic and learn something new to take back to the classroom!
