In collaboration with The Child Care & Development Program, The Children’s Cabinet, The Las Vegas Urban League Early Childhood Connections, Office of Early Learning and Development’s Quality Rating & Improvement System, State of Nevada Child Care Licensing, and other partners, we are excited to announce two new pilot programs for providers who participate in the child care subsidy program.

1. Children & Youth with Special Health Care Needs Slots
2. Non-Traditional Hours Slots

These slots are aimed at increasing the number of available slots for Children & Youth with Special Health Care Needs, increasing the number of available slots for children in need of child care during Non-Traditional Hours, and providing an enhanced subsidy reimbursement rate for child care providers that care for these populations. If you currently serve or would like to serve these populations, this webinar is for you! Eligible provider types that can participate in these pilot programs: Center-Based Child Care, Family Child Care, Group Family Child Care, Family, Friend, and Neighbor, and Head Start/Early Head Start programs.

Both applications and supporting documents for these pilot programs will be available on October 3 on the Nevada Child Care website under the provider resources tab.

There will be two informational webinars discussing the new pilot programs for Children & Youth with Special Health Care Needs and Non-Traditional Hours held on Monday, September 25th at 12:00pm and again at 5:30pm. Webinar attendance is mandatory for participation in either pilot program. The webinar has been approved by the Nevada Registry and participants will receive one (1) training hour credit.
