Tip of the Week: Document Management

The Nevada Registry does not maintain any physical storage of paper enrollment forms. Once a Membership Application and/or Update/Renewal Form has been data-entered, processed for Career Ladder level assignment and the certificate packet has been printed, the file is scanned and converted to an electronic record that is stored in a secure database. Following scanning and a thorough quality control process, the paper file is recycled. For this reason, it’s important not to submit original documents and to submit copies of certificates, degrees, transcripts, etc. that are are of the highest quality possible. It also helps in the scanning process if black or blue ink (please never use pencil) are used when completing the application.
