Our Partners

Local, state and national partnerships are key to The Nevada Registry's past, current and future success as a workforce data system in Nevada. While these partnerships vary in depth and breadth each is viewed as instrumental in the ongoing implementation and success of the program. Our partnerships are continually growing and changing in order to remain responsive to the needs and growth of the program and the broader Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) community.

The list below is not an exhaustive list of all partners, but simply a highlight of a few of the primary programs and partnerships having the greatest impact on The Nevada Registry to date. Nevada Department of Health and Human Services Division of Social Services (DSS)

The Division of Social Services is the designated lead agency to administer the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) supporting quality improvement activities benefitting children in care settings.

Washoe County School District

The Nevada Registry is funded through the Federal Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Quality Improvement Dollars and administered through a contract with the Washoe County School District (WCSD).

Nevada Department of Education - Office of Early Learning and Development (OELD)

The Office of Early Learning and Development (OELD) coordinates state-level reform efforts to transform how young children learn by focuses on building strong connections between learning experiences across the critical years.

Nevada Association of Education of Young Children (NevAEYC)

NevAEYC is the state affiliate organization of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NevAEYC hosts an annual Early Childhood conference and promotes high-quality early learning for all children, birth through age 8, by connecting practice, policy, and research.

TEACH Early Childhood ® Nevada

TEACH is a scholarship program addressing specific issues within the Early Childhood workforce. By providing access to debt-free degree attainment, the program helps to address under-education, poor compensation and high turnover within the early childhood field.

Nevada Silver State Stars - Quality Rating & Improvement System (QRIS)

QRIS provides Early Childhood centers/programs with a comprehensive understanding of what they do well, and provides extensive support through individualized coaching, technical assistance, financial incentives, resources and professional development.

Nevada Division of Social Services - Child Care Licensing

The Division of Social Services - Child Care Licensing Unit licenses, regulates and monitors all facilities in Nevada and enforces the state child care licensing regulations, which are the minimum requirements for child care.

National Registry Workforce Alliance (NWRA)

The NWRA is a private, non-profit, membership organization composed of state early childhood professional development registries and early learning workforce allies working to strengthen state registries, standardize the equitable collection and analysis of workforce data, and cultivate space for collaboration.

Nevada Early Childhood Obesity Prevention Workgroup

Led by the Nevada Institute of Children’s Research and Policy, the Nevada Early Childhood Obesity Prevention Workgroup is a coalition of individuals and organizations from across the state of Nevada committed to reducing rates of childhood obesity.

University of Nevada, Reno Extension

UNR Extension provides ongoing early childhood professional development to improve the knowledge, skills and abilities of child care providers working with young children and also partners with The Nevada Registry to deliver the Adult Learning Academy for prospective trainers.

Nevada Afterschool Network (NAN)

The Nevada Afterschool Network (NAN) works to expand access, support quality, and create meaningful opportunities in afterschool and out-of-school-time (OST) programs across Nevada, ensuring every child has a safe and enriching environment to learn and grow.

The Children's Cabinet

The Children's Cabinet provides a range of services to support child care providers, including training classes and workshops, QRIS coaching, Nevada Pyramid Model training and support, suspension and expulsion support, the Early Childhood Support Network (ECSN) substitute program, and Early Childhood consultation.
