The Child Care Excellence Academy (CCEA) is a Pre-Apprenticeship program designed to train youth ages 18-24. Participants are provided with paid training, mentorship, and a clear path to earning their Child Development Associates (CDA) ® credential and securing long-term employment.
Program Overview:
- A 12-week paid training program followed by a 12-week paid employment period.
- Support to earn a nationally recognized CDA® credential.
- A clear pathway to a career in early education with a $300 graduation stipend.
Who Can Apply:
- Ages 18-24
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a Nevada Child Care Licensing Background Check
- Meet one of the following criteria: homeless youth, aged out of foster care, pregnant or parenting, has a disability, or is low-income
