New Child Care Advisory Committee
Posted Wednesday, April 9, 2014 by Shelly Nye
Did you know that there is a new committee available to solicit feedback from the Early Childhood community? It's true! Now you have a mechanism for voicing your opinions and hearing about what is new in the industry.
The Child Care Advisory Committee was formed by the Division of Public and Behavioral Health as part of the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services and can make recommendations to the Child Care Licensing unit within the Division based on the needs of the Child Care Industry. Committee recommendations are advisory in nature and are reported to the Bureau Chief or designee to the Administrator of the Division.
The Committee will be conducting several open meetings throughout the year. More information about meeting locations will be available soon, but for now, please save these dates:
- April 23, 2014: 1:30 PM
- May 28, 2014: 1:30 PM
- June 23, 2014: 1:30 PM
Anyone interested in participating is encouraged and welcome to attend! Subscribe to the "Child Care Facilities" listserv at http://www.health.nv.gov/HCQC.htm to receive notifications about meeting times and be sure to check back to the Registry blog too!
