Prenatal to Five Fiscal Strategies, in partnership with The Children’s Cabinet, is offering a session on November 17 at 6:00p to introduce the completed Nevada Child Care Cost Model Tool. This free tool helps child care providers better understand the true cost of delivering care and explore how program and business decisions impact financial sustainability. This training is designed for child care directors, administrators, and community partners who support Nevada’s early childhood and child care systems.

How to Use the Nevada Child Care Cost Model Tool to Examine Your Costs
The online cost model tool is designed to help providers explore how key business or program decisions—like adjusting group size or ratios, increasing wages or other areas of compensation like health benefits, or adding program supports, such as professional development and transportation —impact the cost of services. It will also allow users to see how these costs compare to available revenue, including subsidy rates, tuition, or a combination of both. The cost model, which is designed to work for child care centers, family child cares, Head Start, and Nevada Ready PreK, is available online, at no cost and with no login or passwords required – just click and use. https://nv.cccostmodel.prenatal5fiscal.org/
Join them on November 17th at 6 pm for a live online training session in using the tool and an introduction to the resources available to support your use of the tool.
