NevAEYC Conference Scholarships Now Available

The Office of Early Learning and Development is pleased to offer scholarships to attend the Nevada Association for the Education of Young Children (NevAEYC) Conference May 19 - 21, 2016 in Reno, Nevada.

Professionals who are current members of The Nevada Registry and working in a Nevada Silver State Stars QRIS early childhood program in Nevada are eligible to apply. Family Child Care Providers, Tribal Child Care Staff and District Early Childhood Staff are exempt from the QRIS participation. The scholarship will cover the costs of the pre-conference and conference registration fees. Additionally, for applicants outside of the Reno area, travel expenses will be paid up to $300.  All travel expenses will be reimbursed at the conference.

To be considered for a scholarship, completed applications must be received by Friday, April 15, 2016 by 8:00 AM. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be accepted. Applications must be filled out and submitted by the participant and can not be entered by another person (such as center or program Directors.) Please note: Winners are chosen randomly. Due to the anticipated number of applications, not all applicants will win. If you are chosen to receive a scholarship, you will be notified by phone on Friday, April 15th.
