Tip of the Week: Why Can't I Fax or Email my Application/Renewal Form?

Every membership application and renewal form is scanned and digitally archived into a secured database. This not only reduces the amount of physical storage needed to warehouse membership files, it makes document retrieval easier and reduces the impact of a catastrophic event such as fire. For this reason, the physical paperwork that comes to our office must be of the highest quality possible in order to ensure good high-quality scans. In addition to requiring that an original signature be on file, faxed documents (and scanned documents sent via email) are often of low-quality and/or illegible which makes scanning that much more difficult and the quality of the documents stored in your account questionable.
