Tip of the Week (Trainers): Topic Trainer Applications
Posted Monday, April 10, 2017 by Shelly Nye
Prior to 2017 The Nevada Registry did not collect/document information on Non-ECE/Out-of-State trainers. For this reason, when applying to become an approved Topic trainer (beginning January 2017), documentation must accompany your application when it is submitted. To apply as a Topic Trainer you must provide: 1.) Proof of a minimum of a High School diploma (submit college transcripts or degrees in lieu of a HS Diploma, if applicable); 2.) Documented evidence of at least 15 hours of previous experience delivering training to adult learners; and 3.) Current, official, and verifiable license, certification or degree specific to the area of specialization and 6 or more months of applicable/documented expertise in the subject you wish to deliver training. Please note that Topic Trainer applications must contain the required support documentation in order to be considered complete. Incomplete applications will delay the processing of your application. Feel free to contact our office if you have questions about the trainer approval and qualification process.
