A message from the DSS – Child Care Development Program:

On June 1, 2026, the following policy became effective for licensed child care providers including Child Care Centers, Group Family Child Care Homes, and Family Child Care Homes:

When a child is in attendance for fifteen (15) minutes or more during an allowable day at a licensed child care provider including Child Care Centers, Group Family Child Care Homes, and Family Child Care Homes, the provider will be reimbursed at a full-time rate for that day. To be reimbursed the timesheet must still include in and out times for each day the child was in attendance at the provider.

The full-time rate for children in attendance fifteen (15) minutes or more during an allowable day at a licensed child care provider is applicable for days in attendance June 1, 2026, and after. If care is provided for a time period which extends between two days (9 p.m. to 9 a.m.), reimbursement will be paid at a full-time rate for one day of service. Attendance of 14 minutes or less will not be eligible for reimbursement.

There are no changes to the requirements for submitting timesheets or required information.

If you have any questions regarding the new policy, please email them to ccdppayments@dss.nv.gov.
