The Nevada Department of Education’s Office of Early Learning and Development is thrilled to share that the FY27 Early Childhood Education Facilities Expansion Grant is officially open for applications as of today, February 26, 2026!
This grant, established by Senate Bill 460, offers a total of $5 million in state funding to help expand early childhood facilities in underserved Nevada communities where access to high-quality care is currently limited.
Important Dates & Deadlines
- Grant Opens: Thursday, February 26, 2026
- Technical Assistance Webinar: March 5, 2026 (1:00 pm – 2:30 pm via Zoom)
- Application Due Date: Friday, March 13, 2026, by 5:00 pm
- Funding Period: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027
Key Grant Highlights
- Funding Purpose: To support capital investments expansions that address physical space limitations that will lead to free or low-cost early childhood education programming for underserved communities.
- Award Limit: The Department will disburse no more than $150,000 for every 800 square feet of expansion.
- Eligible Applicants: School districts, charter school sponsors, Nevada System of Higher Education institutions, and non-profit organizations.
