The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) is changing its name to Division of Social Services (DSS) as of July 1, 2025.
We’re still under the Department of Human Services (DHS). This new name better shows what we do every day: help families, support communities, and connect people to services that build stability and hope. The word “welfare” is just one part of the bigger work we do.
You may notice changes to our email or website soon. Everything will still work and we’ll keep you updated about those changes along the way.
Families can still apply for child care help at Access Nevada.
Reminder: If payment has not been received after 30 business days from the date a valid and accurate timesheet has been submitted, please email ccdppayments@dwss.nv.gov.
